Yoga has become a powerful and transformational force in the
modern world. It can improve the relationship between body and
mind. It can benefit the way we recognise and manage stress. Yoga
reminds us how to be playful, think more simply, and act with
compassion to ourselves and others.
Jennifer Potter has been teaching for 10 years and practicing for
over 14 years. Her mother, a Yoga teacher too, first taught Jennifer Yoga when she was seven. She then went on to complete her BA in dance choreography and video art. She loves to incorporate story telling in her classes. With a MA in Screen Writing she spends time writing and making films.
After spending 10 years performing and writing in Fringe Theatre in London Jennifer went on to gain her 500 hour qualification in Sivananda Hatha Yoga in 2002. Following in 2005 with: Ashtanga Yoga in Goa and Mysore, India. In 2007 she completed 200 hours teacher training in Anusara Yoga. Now she attends YOGA WORKS 200 hour teacher training in San Francisco.
Jen’s approach to yoga is psychological, exploring each Asana and it's affect on our mental state. How can we use the breath and balancing to change our moods?
She’s attended many workshops with Ana Forrest, David Life, Sarah Powers, Seane Corne, Shiva Rae, David Swenson, Danny Paradise and John Friend.
