Creative Yoga

"Creative Yoga helps to focus and produce more efficiently, It

activates something in the mind…”

The Guardian Newspaper, London

Through specific postures and breathing techniques you may be

able to better control manic bursts of energy, avoid creative blocks

and let go of useless self-criticism.

Based on Hatha principles of contracting muscles and then relaxing

them. While holding very basic postures you are guided through

visualizations.  Explore subconscious thoughts and inhabit them

deeply but briefly.

We finish with: Pranayama: Awareness of breath and body can create a profound sensitivity to the air and world around us, keeping the mind alert and open to new ideas.

Typing at a computer for long periods of time can block energy in the face and shoulders, neck and spine. Great ideas can come by leaving the desk and lying in corpse. Once you return to the desk there is renewed oxygen in the blood stream and brain. The student becomes more aware of postural habits and weak breathing.

Jennifer’s workshops have brought together writers, artists, photographers and designers at all levels. You can be a complete beginner creatively and in Yoga.
